Rankin Brothers & Sons is a family owned & managed business established since 1774, specialising in the development, manufacture & supply of closures for the Beers, Wines & Spirits sectors. The company owns  4,500 acres of cork forestry in Portugal, managing supply from acorn to bottle.

The company is headquartered in leafy Buckinghamshire, with manufacturing sites in Northamptonshire and Portugal.

The offer comprises Corks for Still & Sparkling Wines,  T-top stoppers for Spirits, Beer bottle caps and closures f Casks & Kegs. Rankin also offers a range of bottle adornments such as capsules, tamper evident sleeves and wire hoods. The company specialises in creating unique and impactful packaging for drinks brands looking to make their mark in an ever-competitive industry.

Rankin works with locally crafted brands as well as supporting renowned international companies with global reach.

The company champions brewers, winemakers and distillers, working closely with businesses to create a distinguishable, quality finish for their product.

In 2000, Rankin established NR Tops Portugal, a manufacturer of tops for T-top Stoppers. The company is re-imagining the manufacture of tops for stoppers with development of a brand new, state of art manufacturing facility which is due to be fully operational by December 2022.

In October 2019, Rankin completed the acquisition of long term supply chain partner and polymer injection moulder Plasmotec. The company is currently developing a range of closures using enviro positive, recyclable and sustainable materials.

The investments at NR Tops and at Plasmotec, will protect and maintain supply while leveraging an exciting innovations programme.
